[ Viktor is, of course, neurotic the whole time that passes between their last text and Jayce's arrival. He thinks multiple times of sending a follow-up, something clarifying that will somehow solve all of his problems, but he can never draft something that doesn't sound stupid. 'But it's your mind I'm really interested in' seems ridiculous after saying such forward things. Jayce is probably going to think this is a— booty call.
Reading back through their messages (which he's done about a hundred times now), it sort of is. But Viktor doesn't feel quite as brave face-to-face, where Jayce will have to see him. He wishes for nothing more than to throw this awful cane away before Jayce gets here, but then his leg might give out and he'd really ruin everything, so...
